C3 is Northampton’s hub for collaborative, socially-minded creativity and emerging artist empowerment since 2007.  We invite you to join us in celebrating our first year of successful, dynamic evolution from the original Commonwealth Center for Change into an artist-run volunteer collective now known simply as C3, by supporting our mission to ignite the heart of creative possibility within ourselves, our community, and our immediate surroundings – right now.

C3 produces surprising, original CREATIVE ADVENTURES in public spaces!

• THE BUSKER’S BALL:  A public street-art and performance festival co-produced with Royal Frog Ballet.
• L/A/N/D:  A creative place-making and storytelling collaboration in/around Montview Neighborhood Farm.
• FOOT NOTES: Cool and casual themed walking tours of Northampton’s nooks and crannies.
• SEE-SAW: A site-specific alternative mapping project of neighborhood stories, a sub-project of L/A/N/D.

    C3 keeps DYNAMITE SPACE popping with participatory activities and performances!

Formerly Dynamite Records; currently a raw, multi-use community space in the basement of Thorne’s Marketplace.

• Collage of the Future: A free, public collage-making night to imagine visions of the future.
• Open Screen: An open-mic style showing of local short video projects, on a big screen, with popcorn.
• [no space] Gallery: We curate rotating art exhibits in these lit display boxes outside the Dynamite Space.
• Rentals: We co-manage the rental of Dynamite Space to the public, for a wide variety of uses by artists,

projects, teachers, performers, and benefit events — some of which we co-sponsor.

     C3 CONNECTS YOU with local emerging artists, evocative ideas, & hybrid practices!

• Featured Artist Interviews: One local artist is highlighted every week here at C3Northampton.org!
• Conference: Connected and Consequential: Generating New Art Ecologies.
• Monthly Artist Salons: Coming in 2012! A chance for artists to connect, present, and build relationships.

Please consider a tax-deductible donation to support C3’s 2012 programming. Everything we work to write, present, organize, and produce is designed to expand thinking, reveal hidden opportunities, connect people, and engage all of our creativity in everyday life — in a way that sets us apart from our city’s conventional arts institutions.

Any donation of $60 or more will receive a C3 postcard set of 9 postcards, each one featuring unique artwork by C3 collective members!
