Staring at Scout’s paintings makes me feel as though I’m watching a psychedelic television to the underwater world of the future. I’ve been to this show twice this since it opened and I haven’t seen enough! The subjects of these paintings of various sizes are all sea life, but it’s Scout’s bold, unmixed paint strokes and her alternating layers of resin and acrylic paint that really steal the show. The results are iridescently colorful, deeply layered images that command your sustained attained.
The show comes down in April, so make sure you get there soon!
It’s at:
