The railroad trestle bridge over Rt. 9 near Market and Hawley Streets is a significant gateway to the City of Northampton. Since 1991, the “Dream” mural created by Leland Johnston has welcomed residents and visitors, but has fallen into disrepair. The City, along with individual and corporate donors, wishes to revive the space with a call for new public art.

The first deadline for short proposal submissions is May 23, 2011.
